I look at your hair through more than the physical. In the energetic system I work with, I pay attention to three centers — the root, the sacral, and the crown chakras— because they speak to your sense of safety and grounding, your vitality and life-force, and your connection to who you are.

 

When these areas of your life are depleted or out of alignment, I believe your hair can become part of the story your body is telling. When you've lived in survival — carrying too much, for too long — we look at the root and what has affected your sense of safety and grounding. When you feel depleted, disconnected from your vitality, or out of flow, we look at the sacral. And because your hair is your crown, we also explore the crown center — your connection to identity, spirit, and Divinity. This is why, for many women, hair loss can feel like more than a physical experience. It can feel deeply connected to how they see and experience themselves.
